Senior Project Manager - Critical Infrastructure

CI - Remote - Full Time

Job Summary: National Power is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage critical infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, engineering, and construction, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. This role requires exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills to ensure successful project delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Reviews project specifications to determine schedule, procurement sources, and staffing needs
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Prepares submittals for customer approval
  • Works with finance, legal, and sales staff on payment terms, contracts, and project requirements
  • Directs and coordinates all project activities to ensure progress on schedule and within budget
  • Prepares project reports for customers, management, and others, modifying schedules and plans as needed
  • Communicates with customers, subcontractors, vendors, and sales staff regarding deliverable expectations and technical considerations
  • Proactively resolves problems with customers, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Coordinates project activities with government agencies
  • Attends meetings at construction sites and design offices as required
  • Assists on site walks and provides technical support in costing the project
  • Tracks materials, contractor schedules, job progress, and standards compliance once the job is awarded
  • Provides digital photos and progress reports to customers on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Monitors site safety and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies
  • Minimizes exposure and risk on projects
  • Seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Completes all close-out documents in a timely manner to comply with customer-generated performance scorecards
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred or a minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in critical infrastructure projects
  • Five plus years’ experience and/or training in project management or technical customer service in the Cable/Telecom AC/DC electrical equipment industry to include DC Plants, batteries, inverter systems, HVAC, fire suppression, UPS systems as well as general construction
  • Experience with -48VDC and +24VDC systems and installation procedures
  • Experience or knowledge with Cable/Telecom industry GR 1275 installation standards
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications to include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (Visio is used for the following - scale drawings of floor plans, equipment layout, cable rack layout, site layout, AC & DC online drawings and riser drawings)
  • CAD drawing experience is a plus
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken Englis
  • Ability to complete relevant safety training upon hire
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling materials
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor construction sites
  • Physical demands of traveling, including extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking during site visits and meetings
