National Power is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator/Project Manager to lead cost estimation and project execution for critical infrastructure initiatives. This role combines technical expertise with strategic project oversight, ensuring accurate forecasting, efficient resource management, and successful delivery of DC power and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimation Duties:
Analyze blueprints, technical documents, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates
Collaborate with engineers, architects, vendors, and clients to gather project details
Calculate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
Prepare and submit bid proposals and financial estimates
Assess financial and operational risks and adjust estimates as needed
Maintain historical cost data and update estimating tools
Project Management Duties:
Develop and execute detailed project work plans; revise as needed to meet evolving requirements
Coordinate procurement, staffing, and scheduling to ensure timely project delivery
Monitor project progress, budget adherence, and compliance with safety and quality standards
Communicate regularly with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
Conduct site walks, oversee installations, and provide technical support
Track materials, contractor schedules, and job progress
Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly progress reports and digital documentation
Ensure timely completion of project close-out documentation and performance scorecards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and estimating within critical infrastructure or telecom/power sectors
Familiarity with DC power systems (-48VDC, +24VDC), UPS, HVAC, fire suppression, and battery systems
Knowledge of GR-1275 installation standards and general construction practices
PMP certification or equivalent preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Visio and AutoCAD experience a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Capable of standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders for extended periods
Comfortable working in various environments, including construction sites, rooftops, and confined spaces
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Ability to work in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather
Must have visual acuity to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Travel Requirements:
Must be willing and able to travel up to 50-75%, including overnight stays, depending on project location and scope
Travel may include site visits, client meetings, and on-site project management across regional and national locations
